My Summer Beauty Favourites

It's June, the days are brighter, and summer finally feels like it has arrived. While Belfast hasn't exactly been spoiling us with sunshine, there have been enough warm afternoons to signal a change in season. As the weather begins to improve, I find myself gravitating towards products that feel lighter, fresher, and a little more natural—small shifts that reflect the slower, brighter rhythm of summer. While I don't tend to change my beauty routine dramatically from season to season, I genuinely enjoy trying new products and sharing the ones that prove themselves over time. From glowy skin tints and nourishing skincare to the perfect lip combination, these are seven favourites that have earned a place in my summer beauty bag.

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream

Finding a moisturiser that feels nourishing without being heavy can sometimes be a challenge, but this strikes that balance beautifully.

The texture is incredibly lightweight and absorbs effortlessly into the skin after cleansing, leaving it feeling hydrated, comfortable, and refreshed. I first discovered it as part of one of Kiehl's starter kits, which also included their cleanser, eye cream, and body moisturiser. While I enjoyed all of the products, the facial cream was the standout for me.

What I particularly love about this moisturiser is how effortlessly it fits into my morning routine. Lightweight yet nourishing, it leaves my skin feeling hydrated and comfortable throughout the day. It sits beautifully beneath makeup, creating a fresh, natural base without ever feeling heavy.

St. Tropez Self Tan Purity Bronzing Water Mousse

I have really been enjoying the St. Tropez Self Tan Purity Bronzing Water Mousse. If I'm honest, my skin can be quite sensitive when it comes to fake tan. I've often found that some formulas can leave a blotchy finish or irritate my skin as they develop, so I'm usually quite cautious when trying something new. Thankfully, St. Tropez is one of the few brands that consistently works well for me and doesn't cause my skin to react.

The formula is lightweight and easy to apply, developing into a natural-looking glow. The finish has a lovely hydrated quality to it, giving the skin a healthy radiance rather than looking overly matte or dry. It's become a reliable option whenever I want a little extra warmth and glow, especially during the summer months.

Naturium The Glow Getter Multi-Oil Hydrating Body Wash

A product that has become a favourite in my morning routine is the Naturium Glow Getter Multi-Oil Hydrating Body Wash. I feel like I am a little late to the Naturium party, but the more products I try, the more I understand why so many people love the brand.

I've been enjoying the Naturium Perfector Salicylic Acid Body Wash, but if I had to choose a standout product for summer, it would be the Glow Getter. The formula feels nourishing and luxurious on the skin, leaving it feeling soft, hydrated, and comfortable. What I love most is the subtle glow it gives to the skin. It creates that healthy, radiant look that feels made for the summer.

Sculpted by Aimee HydraTint

Still a firm favourite in my beauty routine, the Sculpted by Aimee HydraTint has become my go-to base. I love how lightweight it feels on the skin while still providing enough coverage to even out my complexion. The finish is fresh, natural, and dewy without feeling heavy, while still delivering a beautiful glow.

It's the perfect everyday product when I want my skin to look fresh and healthy while still feeling like my skin. I wear the shade 1.0, and it blends seamlessly into my complexion, leaving a natural, radiant finish.

Rose Inc Solar Radiance Hydrating Cream Highlighter – Glancing

The Rose Inc Cream Highlighter in the shade Glancing has been another favourite this summer. What I love most about this shade is its subtle warmth, allowing it to work almost like a blush and highlighter in one.

The finish is beautifully natural and luminous, adding light and dimension without appearing glittery or overly done. The cream formula melts effortlessly into the complexion, creating a soft, healthy-looking radiance. I like to tap a small amount over the tops of my cheeks with my fingertips after applying blush for a fresh, glowing finish.

Laura Mercier Caviar Perfecting Lip Liner

A lip product I have been reaching for consistently this summer is the Laura Mercier Caviar Perfecting Lip Liner. I currently have two shades on rotation—Luxurious Mauve and Elegant Blush—both of which are versatile, everyday colours that work beautifully with a range of lip products.

What I like most about this liner is how effortless it is to use. It feels lightweight, glides smoothly across the lips, and allows for precise application without tugging or feeling dry. The texture is creamy enough to blend beautifully while still providing enough definition to shape and enhance the lips.

Enriched with Vitamin E and French Hyaluronic Acid, it also helps to keep lips feeling hydrated and comfortable throughout the day. Rather than feeling heavy or overly matte, it leaves the lips looking soft, polished, and naturally defined.

Westman Atelier Squeaky Clean Liquid Lip Balm – Nana

A brand I am slowly falling in love with is Westman Atelier. From the beautifully considered packaging to the quality of the formulas, everything feels intentional, elegant, and timeless. The products have a luxurious quality without being overly complicated, which is something I really appreciate.

A recent favourite in my makeup bag is the Squeaky Clean Liquid Lip Balm in the shade Nana. It gives the lips a beautiful glossy finish while remaining comfortable and nourishing throughout the day. The colour is soft and flattering, adding just the right amount of warmth and shine for a polished, effortless look.

As always, these are simply the products I've been enjoying and reaching for most this summer. I love discovering new finds and sharing the ones that genuinely earn a place in my everyday routine, and these seven favourites have done exactly that.
